The Saranac Laboratory Museum, operated by Historic Saranac Lake, preserves and shares the rich history of the tuberculosis treatment industry in Saranac Lake. The Saranac Laboratory was founded by Dr. Edward Livingston Trudeau in 1894 for the study of tuberculosis. The Museum features exhibits on tuberculosis research, patient care, and other special rotating topics.
