The Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society interprets the life & accomplishments of Noah Webster ; author, lexicographer, and father of American education, preserving and operating his boyhood home (a National Historic Landmark built in 1747) in West Hartford, Connecticut. The West Hartford Historical Society is the repository of three centuries of artifacts & archives from the town’s storied past. The historic house & exhibit spaces are open to the public; self-guided tours are offered.
