Missouri Institute of Natural Science

Missouri Institute of Natural Science is a museum in Springfield, Missouri, that houses hundreds of animal, plant, and mineral specimens with free admission. Families can explore the museum's exhibits, including a triceratops display, and hunt for fossils on the institute grounds by collecting loose fossils from exposed boulders on the hillside. The museum was established following the discovery of Riverbluff Cave, an Ice Age fossil site revealed during road construction in 2001.
