Fort Vasquez is a museum located at an 1835 fur-trading fort site in Platteville, CO. Visitors can explore the adobe outpost founded by Louis Vasquez and Andrew Sublette on the South Platte River, learning about the mountain men hired there and the Cheyenne, Arapaho, and Lakota people who frequented the location during the height of the North American fur trade between the 1820s and 1850s.
